Family honours memory of loved one with $700,000 gift
BC Cancer’s precision radiation therapy program received a major boost with a $700,000 gift from Charles and Christina Tsang and family. Charles sadly passed away from Nasopharyngeal cancer – a rare type of head and neck cancer.
“While Charles was undergoing therapy, he and I felt strongly about supporting a project that would improve the accessibility and efficiency of cancer diagnosis and treatment for patients,” says Christina Tsang. “We are grateful for the incredible care Charles received at BC Cancer and we feel privileged to have the opportunity to show our support and help make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families in the community.”
In January the Tsangs also received the BC Cancer Foundation Catalyst Award in recognition of their generous contribution and community leadership.
